Project Overview
The Waveney House Hotel is an historical building situated on the bank of the River Waveney in Beccles, offering luxury accommodation, a fully licensed restaurant/bar and a highly sought-after venue for weddings and functions.
The owner of the hotel felt that their online presence was in need of an upgrade, and I was approached to bring their website up-to-date by modernising their CMS and redesigning the look and feel of the site to give them a cleaner, more prestigious appearance that better represented their business.

The website was built using WordPress, and adopted a fully responsive layout that caters well for visitors, whether they're using a desktop, tablet or mobile device.
The home page was entirely restructured to focus on their key points of business; the accommodation, the restaurant and the wedding venues. Each section was accompanied by an attractive parallax background image that gave the page depth and complemented the layout.
Several image galleries were created for the website, allowing users to see at a glance the room they're looking to book, pictures of previous weddings hosted in one of the Waveney's function rooms, or a host of historical images of the building, dating back to the 16th century.
